spray paint skoobidoos or use cord/thick thread from shepherd's bush market to embellish over knit. Or pipe cord in organza/bright cottons, cut very closely to seam and couch/attach with invisible thread onto knit background. Try piping cord directly onto knit (make sure piece is a lot larger than needed).
